While our preferred tool of choice is an eyelash curler, there may be a time when you’ll have to Macgyver your way out of a stubby eyelash situation. In that case, grab a spoon, these instructions, and get ready for betty-boop worthy batties.
Benefits of Curling Eyelashes:
Curled lashes are sexier. They look more full-bodied and long.
Leave the Makeup for the End:
There’s no reason to curl your lashes if you’ll just mess up the rest of your face doing it. Wait until you’ve curled your lashed who put on your makeup.
Apply Mascara Pre-Curl:
Think of mascara as “eyelash hairspray.” Swipe on some thickening mascara before you curl your lashes.
Un-clump Your Lashes:
If your lashes are sticking together after applying mascara, use a brush, your nails, or a tweezer to separate them.
Curl Before Mascara Dries:
When mascara dries, it sets. Curl your lashes while the mascara is still wet.
Choose Your Weapon:
Grab a spoon that fits comfortably in the palm of your hand and stay away from those that are either too large or too small. Choosing the right spoon for your hand size will aid in proper application when curling.
Curl the Right Eyelashes :
Using your right hand to hold the spoon, position it so that the open part that you normally eat with is facing toward you. Put your eyelashes over the top and hold that down with your thumb on your right hand. Curl.
Curl the Left Eyelashes :
Using your left hand to hold the spoon, position it so that the open part that you normally eat with is facing toward you. Put your eyelashes over the top and hold down with your thumb on your left hand. Curl.
Repeat these steps until you achieve your desired look and you’re done!:
