While I’m not going to weigh in on whether Valentine’s Day is the very best holiday ever or just plain blows, I am going to give you a charming DIY for those out there using the holiday as an excuse to throw a party. Check out the doily (yup, more doilies) garland, above—it’s easy and cheap to put together and will really up the festiveness for little time. Don’t forget to check out the rest of our Valentine’s Day Survival Guide while you’re at it!Drag your white little Christmas light strands out of the closet, buy a pack of doilies (these are less than four bucks for 30 doilies), and grab a pair of scissors. Cut holes in different parts of the doilies and either string the light strand through or squeeze the actual light bulb through the hole you cut. Instant party decor!
