I’m smart. I’ve got a graduate degree, a good job, and a pretty decent head on my shoulders. But if that’s true, then why do I watch such bad reality TV shows? I watch them all: “Rock of Love,” “Tool Academy,” “Let’s Talk About Pep,” “Celebrity Rehab,” “For the Love of Ray J.” These shows are not intellectually stimulating. They are not even “real.” They star screwed-up men and women looking for love or 15 minutes in the spotlight, and the fact that I watch them, season after season, is, frankly, embarrassing. Yet, watch them I do. Why? I don’t know! All I know is that I can’t stop. Take a journey through my bad reality TV show nightmare with me, won’t you?
