Yesterday, I told you about some shows on the horizon that sound like serious stinkers. So it’s only fair that, today, I tell you about one that sounds truly awesome. Adorable Zooey Deschanel has signed on to do a new HBO show based on the book I’m With the Band: Confessions of a Groupie, by Pamela Des Barres, whose conquests included Mick Jagger, Jimmy Page, Don Johnson, and loads of other famous ’60s musicians and actors. Zooey is executive producing the show, along with one of the producers behind “Curb Your Enthusiasm.” And supposedly the show will make use of archival ’60s footage, along with frequent orgy scenes. We’re expecting “Secret Diary of a Call Girl” gone rock ‘n’ roll. [Gawker]
