Did Jimmy Choo Rip Off A Fashion Blogger For Its New Ad Campaign?

Did Jimmy Choo rip off fashion blogger and photographer Tommy Ton of Jak & Jil for its new 24:7 ad campaign? That’s what Ton appears to be suggesting in this recent tweet: “is it me or does the jimmy choo 24:7 campaign look a lot like…ahem…you know what i mean :S http://www.jimmychoo.com/page/home.” Ton rose to fame by way of his delightful shots of women on the street, often outside of fashion shows, many of which focus on their high heels. His style is distinctive: shoe-obsessed, stark street shots of women navigating the world on towering stilettos. These days, he sits front row at fashion shows, shoots fashion week in Paris for Style.com, and is working on a project with Louis Vuitton. As a regular reader of Jak & Jil, I certainly see the similarities.
