Jennifer Lyon Of “Survivor” Dies At 37

On Tuesday, “Survivor” contestant Jennifer Lyon, 37, died of breast cancer. She first noticed the lump in 2004 but didn’t do anything about it because she figured it was scar tissue from her breast implant surgery. In 2005, a few months after she placed fourth on the show, Lyon was diagnosed with stage-three cancer. She had a radical mastectomy, went on chemo and was prescribed drugs. Sadly, all that wasn’t enough. Many of Jennifer’s former competitors are calling her brave and inspirational. I personally think it’s pretty cool that even after she got really sick, she worked hard to raise money for breast cancer research so that others could have a better chance than she did. [CNN]
