Four years earlier, McGreevey had appointed Cipel New Jersey’s homeland security adviser, and local newspapers made a stink about how he wasn’t qualified, but was a “travel companion” of the gov’s. But it wasn’t until Cipel threatened to sue for sexual harassment that McGreevey decided to come clean.
