Charlie Sheen‘s klassy Christmas Day domestic violence arrest just keeps getting more sordid! TMZ claims law enforcement sources said Sheen allegedly threatened his wife, Brooke Mueller, with a knife and police observed marks on her body which may have come from a scuffle.
But Mueller is no class act herself. The mother of twin 9-month-old boys was legally drunk with a .13 blood alcohol level when she reported Sheen to the police. Let us remind you police responded to a 911 call at 8:34 a.m. on Christmas. Who is that drunk that early on Christmas morning?!?! [I hit the mimosas pretty early myself, but I am never drunk before noon. Even on Christmas. -- Editor] Especially when you’ve got infants at home. I guess we shouldn’t be surprised Mueller has recanted much of her story, which had put Sheen in the slammer with charges of felony second degree assault, felony menacing and criminal mischief, a misdemeanor. We still don’t know what, specifically, about the alleged assault Mueller recanted. But we do know this:
- We don’t like women who recant domestic abuse claims, because that just makes it harder for the rest of us to be taken seriously.
- Charlie Sheen has a long history of violence against women and drug abuse that everyone ignores. According to People magazine, in June 1997, Sheen pleaded guilty to smashing his ex-girlfriend Brittany Ashland’s face into the floor and trotted away with only a $2,800 fine, two years probation, and 300 hours of community service. Sheen’s also checked into rehab at least twice, in 1990 and 1998.
Tell me, why does this guy still have a career? And why does he keep getting married/procreating? Whether or not Sheen is guilty of everything Mueller accused him of on Christmas, he’s breezed through life with only slaps on the wrist for too long. [TMZ, People]
