OK, so I know my taste is a little, er, eclectic, but I love these crazy suitcase chairs by Katie Thompson. Working with recycled materials — or, as she calls it, “junk” — the South African designer has created a wacky series of modern-meets-vintage pieces. The white Samsonite piece you see here is made out of found luggage, white linen, and whitewashed timber. She’s also got a desk lamp made out of a Remington typewriter and a clock made out of a scale. Environmentally friendly and chic. Now that’s a steal. [Apartment Therapy]
