“Miracle on 34th Street” is by far one of our favorite holiday movies because it reminds us of our childhood innocence and really captures the spirit of old-school NYC during the holidays. We found out Santa Claus was a fictional character before we were 10 years old, but we enjoyed this story of the real Kris Kringle’s (Edmund Gwenn) fight for legitimacy in court because it proved miracles do happen. And as with any feel-good movie worth its salt, there’s a romance between Kris’ supervisor (Maureen O’Hara) and his roommate-cum-lawyer (John Payne), too. [$12.99, F.Y.E.]
