Just what we all need—a hat that makes us smile. Constantly. It’s called “The Happiness Hat” (obviously) and you either smile in it or suffer the consequences—literally, from a jolt of pain it inflicts upon you. For some reason I don’t think Bright-Sided author Barbara Ehrenreich would be feeling this contraption—because as she sees it, we are a nation of anti-depressant-popping, cheerfulness-obsessed, unrealistic folks who prize a happy outlook above all else. But back to the hat: It literally jabs you in the back of the head with a metal spike when you frown! Check out this ridiculous video of it exacting revenge on some non-smiler. Spooky.
