Similar to their annual Smallest, Coolest Home Contest, Apartment Therapy, the awesome home design blog, is holding its fifth annual Colors Contest. Finalists for the “most colorful, beautiful room on the planet” have been selected and readers can vote for their favorites through Oct. 29 when the final four will be selected. Up for grabs is more than $4,500 in prizes, including a design shopping weekend in NYC. “Colorful rooms are the heart of great homes,” Apartment Therapy explains, “and adding color is the most affordable way to change a room, but few feel comfortable using it.” The finalists for the 2009 Colors Contest will inspire many to explore how color can give their apartments an instant face-lift. I’m particularly loving this “Pumpkin Patch and Citrus Blast” room. Hmm … I wonder if I can get my husband to embrace raspberry pink in our bedroom?
