The double helix is the perfect design when it comes to storing a great deal of DNA information. As people are always looking for new ways to maximize storage in our daily lives, it was about time someone came up with a way to combine both the double helix and the closet. Bucharest-based designer Irina Alexandru has put a twist on the traditional closet with her DNA-inspired clothes rack that is part of her saving space furniture collection. It allows for the maximum number of clothing hangers in the smallest amount of space. And although it will probably have to sit in a corner somewhere in the home, it will no doubt be an interesting conversation piece. [Gizmodo via Impact Lab]
