Celebrities Like Madonna And Lady Gaga Sure Enjoy A Dance-Off
If you saw “Saturday Night Live” last week, you know that Madonna and Lady Gaga had a fake makeout sesh. But on Sunday night, the two pop stars had a real life dance-off at a New York City club! The DJ, Jus Ske, started alternating “Holiday” and “Poker Face” while the ladies got down on the dance floor. An onlooker said, “Madonna seemed to be the winner. People were going wild.” No kidding Madonna won. Lady Gaga only has one dance move and it’s creepy. If only someone had a camera phone video! [NY Post]
Thankfully, plenty of other celebrity dance-offs have been recorded and are actually pretty hilarious!
Cameron Diaz and Jimmy Fallon had a dance-off in March on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.” Obviously, Cameron won cause she’s, like, a super awesome dancer. [The Celebrity Truth]
When Time Magazine put out its annual “100 Most Influential People” issue in 2008, Stephen Colbert was kinda bummed that he got third place after the dude who created Wii and the Koren pop star Rain. So he challenged Rain to a Dance Dance Revolution competition. It’s kind of amazing. Spoiler alert: Rain kicked butt. [Geek Sugar]
OK, so fast-food restaurant mascots aren’t exactly celebrities, but this video was way too cute to pass up. Colonel Sanders of KFC got replaced by a chicken in some countries, and in this video he’s battling the cutest mascot ever, Jollibee’s bee. Isn’t it kinda weird to make your mascot a live version of what you’re feeding to your customers? [Buzzfeed]
During an All-Star basketball game, Shaquille O’Neal, LeBron James, and Dwight Howard had an impromptu dance-off. Even though he’s built like the Jolly Green Giant, Shaq has some moves!
Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan started their on-and-off girl fighting in 2006 when Paris got mad at Lindsay for going out with her ex-boyfriend, Stavros Niarchos. The two girls took it out on a VIP dance floor in New York, both consciously ignoring each other. A witness said, “They were really dancing, non-stop. It was funny, they didn’t say a word to each other, but they were literally a foot-and-a-half away from each other the entire time.” Paris and Lindsay finally quit when the owner closed the club at 7 a.m. [People] — Oh, and since there’s no video evidence of this battle, here’s a clip from “Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen” where Lindsay battles Megan Fox at Dance Dance Revolution, because it’s pretty hilarious.
What started out as an online back-and-forth video battle between Miley Cyrus with her bestie Mandy and ACDC Crew (which consists of real dancers like Adem Sevani and Jon Chu), eventually turned into a live dance-off at the 2008 Teen Choice Awards! I’m not exactly sure how Miley won, but I’m guessing that has something to do with the words “teen” and “choice”?
