For the first time in a month, there are not a lot of series premieres happening this week. So, it’s time to sit back, relax, and watch the shows you already love. This week, Tyra Banks and Hilary Duff make cameos on “Gossip Girl,” Rachel Zoe has a “fashion orgasm” in Paris, Jim and Pam get hitched on “The Office,” “FlashForward” gets trippier, and Wanda Sykes makes you say hardy har har. Here’s the best of this week’s television.
The Show: “Gossip Girl”
Set Your DVR For: Tonight, 9 p.m. (EST), the CW
This week is a guest star bonanzo. Hilary Duff swoops in as an actress/NYU freshman who distracts Dan from his make-out sessions with Georgina. Tyra Banks happens to be Hil’s co-star in a movie, and Serena somehow becomes her publicist. Tyra’s acting here looks amazingly bad. Is it just me, or is she totally smeyesing? Perhaps it’s not the best acting technique.
The Show: “The Rachel Zoe Project”
Set Your DVR For: Tonight, 10 p.m. (EST), Bravo
At the end of the John Galliano show in the preview, Rachel asks Brad, “Did you just have a fashion orgasm?” That’s kind of how we feel every week after this show. Tonight, get ready for oohing and aahing at Paris Fashion Week couture shows. Plus, shocker, Rachel has a panic attack over some fashion disaster.
The Show: “FlashForward”
Set Your DVR For: Thursday, 8 p.m. (EST), ABC
We’ve watched the crop of new shows, and this is our fave because it feels like an heir to “Lost.” Catch up on episodes online, see this week’s new one, and start trying to figure out why the entire world blacked out for two minutes and 17 seconds and everyone had visions of the future.
The Show: “The Office”
Set Your DVR For: Thursday, 9 p.m. (EST), NBC
Jim and Pam are finally tying the knot this week on “The Office.” Like, for real this time. Will it be the cutest thing ever or the beginning of the show’s demise? We dunno.
The Show: “Wanda Sykes: I’ma Be Me”
Set Your DVR For: Saturday, 10 p.m. (EST), HBO
Wanda Sykes is one of the funniest comics ever, and we can’t wait for her second HBO comedy special. Thank goodness for Tivo—’cause I plan to tape it and watch it Sunday morning.
