What’s Up With Tiffany Trump?
Tiffany Trump isn’t a name you hear too often, even though she’s the offspring of Donald Trump, who is always in the news for one thing or another. Back in the early ’90s, you couldn’t escape the scandal turned marriage that occurred between Donald and then-wife Marla Maples, who is Tiffany’s mother. But when Marla and Donald divorced in 1999, she and her daughter sunk into relative obscurity. In this day and age of hyper-celebrity, it’s rare for an attractive, 16-year-old daughter of a celebrity to keep a low profile, especially when her über-wealthy father has his own reality show and pageants and has placed another daughter, Ivanka Trump, into the spotlight. I did some digging to find out what Tiffany has been up to and it came as no surprise that she’s already planning her business future. Tiffany only plans to follow in some of Donald’s footsteps. For starters, fashion is more her thing than property development. Back in 2007 when Tiffany was only 14, her mom told OK! that Tiffany was more likely to compete on “Project Runway” someday than her father’s competition show “The Apprentice.” Tiffany enjoys designing and has played with draping fabric since she was 3 years old, according to her mom, who also thought that her daughter wanted to go to fashion school. But in Jan. 2009, Tiffany said she planned to apply to the top business schools in order to have her own business like her father. Sounds like dad put the kibosh on fashion school, but maybe he thinks Tiffany has a natural talent for design and doesn’t need school.
Currently, Tiffany seems to be trying her hand at designing for charity. Her website Tiffany Trump Treasures is set up to sell her own designs as well as clothing and jewelry she has personally owned for charity, but there aren’t any items for sale presently. (I’m sure Dad would say that’s criminal in the retail business world.) But let’s be real, Tiffany is only in the 10th grade and should be doing things that normal teens do before the pressure of being a Trump sets in. And by normal, I don’t mean what normal celebrity teens do. Donald has always made sure his children uphold his name and act classy, reserving the scandals for himself.
