Eighteen-year-old Cassidy Nicosia of New Hampshire really cares about equality. That’s why she decided to see what would happen if she walked down the streets of her town topless and packing heat in a holster. Now that takes some balls titties! Why did she do this? Cassidy is a member of the Free State Project, an effort to convince 20,000 peace-loving people to move to New Hampshire, get involved in activism, and run for local office. Cassidy says of her stunt, “Men can walk down the street … and, you know, not get harassed at all but yet somehow this is dirty.” So how did her little experiment turn out? Cassidy was arrested after some people complained about her topless toting, but the charges have been dropped after a more careful investigation. New Hampshire law states that a person commits indecent exposure and lewdness only if he or she fornicates, exposes their genitals or performs any other “act of gross lewdness … likely to cause affront or alarm.” Since boobs aren’t genitals (duh) and Cassidy wasn’t being lewd or indecent, she was well within her rights. As far as the pistol, NH citizens are allowed to carry a gun without a permit. This incident calls attention to perhaps a more pressing issue affecting our society today—that boobs make people temporarily insane. I think the Free State Project will have no trouble recruiting men to come live in a state where women prance the streets topless with guns and everyone is free and happy.
