Jon Gosselin apparently didn’t get the memo that if you don’t have something nice to say, don’t say anything at all. Last week, he sat down with Chris Cuomo for an interview which airs tonight on “Primetime: Family Secrets.” (Excerpts are also on today and tomorrow’s “Good Morning America.”) In the interview, Jon didn’t hold back at all on his negative feelings towards Kate. “I can’t sit on a sofa with that woman,” he said. “I despise [her] because she’s not speaking from the heart.”
Jon says that throughout their marriage, Kate controlled him. “I was beaten down for so long, I couldn’t even make my own decision,” he said. “I was verbally abused.” The content of said abuse? She called him a “lame fish,” which, in the grand scheme of four- and five-letter words out there, doesn’t seem so bad. One of Jon’s other claims: that Kate took his wedding ring. He knows this because he put it down and now he can’t find it. He also claims that Kate only wears her ring as a sympathy ploy which, well … maybe. Overall, I wish Jon had learned a lesson from Anne Heche the other week — that dissing an ex is an art form that must be done with subtlety. So what do you think: Will this interview affect Jon’s status as a chick magnet?
