Girl, the drag queens are coming! On Sunday, Sept. 6, while New York fashion editors will undoubtedly be laying out their neat little wardrobes for the coming Fashion Week, those in London will be slipping into sequin gowns and lamé hammer pants. It’s Bistrotheque’s Annual Drag Ball at Covent Garden’s Royal Opera House! The evening includes such performance categories as “International Diva in a Leading Role,” “London Fashionista at the Opera,” and “Pushy Mother with Kids at a Ballet Audition.” (Priceless.) And with a panel of judges that reads like a who’s who of the Brit style scene—Love magazine’s Katie Grand, designers Henry Holland and Roksanda Ilincic, to name a few—the competition is sure to be fierce.
