Now that Topshop is fully and very securely entrenched in the American fashion scene, we get to be endlessly entertained by the also seemingly endless announcements of collaborations à la H&M and Target. Fashion types are obsessed with Scottish designer Christopher Kane–he’s always the toast of London Fashion Week and you may recognize his famous gorilla shirts. So, naturally when his Topshop collection was announced, the collective jaw dropped. Eh, it’s still not here yet (next month ladies, next month!), but images have finally surfaced and, like I said, the people who care are generally buzzing. And we’re excited too, but wary of actually being able to score this cobalt dress, chic granny panties or black studded leggings, since his spring/summer 2009 collection completely sold out in a matter of hours when it launched on Net-A-Porter. And those clothes were WAY more expensive. [BlackBook]
