Van Cleef & Arpels, the French jeweler who owns the rights to the symbol, unleashed their legal hounds on Klum, accusing the model’s company of copyright infringement. To avert a costly lawsuit, Klum decided to close shop. Maybe this is further proof that models and celebs really should leave designing to the pros and stick with what they do best.“I think when you’re a small company, which we are, we’re not a Van Cleef — they have a thousand lawyers.
