Today In Terribleness: The Worst Edition, Ever.
Some really awful things have happened this week and, unfortunately, a huge percentage of them happened to women. We know you don’t exactly enjoy reading about this kind of stuff but, hey, it’s important. So here it goes.
- Okay, this story is really awful. A Massachusetts woman named Darlene Haynes, 23, was found dead in her closet after neighbors complained of a smell coming from her house. Worse still—the woman’s 8-month-old fetus had been cut out of her body. The baby could have survived, but would have needed medical attention ASAP. It looks like someone may have literally stolen her baby. Horrible. [CNN]
- A 28-year-old Georgia woman is facing charges for running what appeared to be an underground strip club for minors in her basement. Cops showed up after neighbors complained about the loud, late-night partying at the house, and when they busted in, they discovered a debauched scene, fueled by dollar Jello shots. [WSBTV]
- Goldman Sachs lawyer Todd Genger, 33, was busted by undercover cops for trying to solicit a 15-year-old girl via the internet. He was going to meet her in Westchester, and, presumably, things were going to get pretty raunchy. This nasty dude knew the girl was underage and didn’t care, even though he’s married with three kids. [NY Daily News]
- WARNING: STOP READING UNLESS YOU REALLY THINK YOU CAN TAKE IT. On Sunday, in San Antonio, Texas, police officers were called to a home where they found a mother on the couch, trying to slit her own throat, and screaming, “I killed my baby! I killed my baby!” She didn’t just kill her 3-week-old son. She dismembered him and ate many of the parts, including part of his brain. This is 1,000 steps beyond absolutely horrifying. [Fox4KC]
