Charlyne Yi does not believe in love. She is making a kinda-sorta-documentary asking friends and others about what love is. “Take somebody to Applebee’s and get them hot wings,” one kid suggests as the perfect date. Accidentally, of course, Charlyne falls in love with none other than our favorite nerd-hottie Michael Cera. You may recognize Charlene from her appearance as the stoned girl on the couch in “Knocked Up,” but in this semi-documentary she reminds us of the existence of love, wherever you might find it (like with that nerdy guy you never quite noticed before). Something tells us this film and “(500) Days Of Summer” will be duking it out for our favorite indie romance of the summer. (Pssst! Just in case you were wondering, Yi and Cera found love together — in real life.) “Paper Heart” opens in theaters on August 7. [Paper Heart]
