Remote Control: What You’ll Want To Watch The Week Of July 13th 2009

It’s Monday, which means that you have some serious DVR-setting to do for the week. Here are the shows we can’t wait to watch—from the series premiere of “Michael and Michael Have Issues” to the season finale of “The Fashion Show.”

The Show: “Miami Social
Set Your DVR For: Tuesday, 10pm (EST), Bravo
The Deal: “Miami Social” is Bravo’s newest series—and you know how we feel about everything the Watch-What-Happenites touch. The show is about a group of seven friends who work power jobs by day, and party down in Miami night clubs by night. Here’s hoping it ends up feeling like “The Real Housewives of Miami” with some dudes thrown in. Or like an adultish version of “The Real World.”

Michael & Michael Have Issues
Joke of the Day

The Show: “Michael and Michael Have Issues”
Set Your DVR For: Wednesday, 10:30 pm (EST), Comedy Central
The Deal: Remember MTV’s genius “The State?” (Hint: “I want to dip my balls in it.) And “Wet Hot American Summer?” Or Comedy Central’s short-lived-but-amazing “Stella?” Well, Michael Showalter and Michael Ian Black were behind all those amazing pieces of pop culture, too. So we expect this new show to be equally as hilarious.

The Show: “The Fashion Show”
Set Your DVR For: Thursday, 10pm (EST), Bravo
The Deal: Okay, we poo-pooed this “Project Runway” knock-off all season. So sue us for wanting to watch the season finale.

The Show: “J.K. Rowling: A Year in the Life”
Set Your DVR For: Tuesday, 8pm (EST), ABC
The Deal: Ever since the “Harry Potter” books hit bookstore shelves, we’ve been kind of obsessed with the welfare recipient who wrote her first manuscript on a typewriter. This ABC special should tell us everything we need to know.

The Show: “Labor Pains”
Set Your DVR For: Sunday, 8pm (EST), ABC Family
The Deal: In just a few short years, Lindsay Lohan went from box office-busting mega-star to she-can-barely-land-a-role-in-a-TV-movie. Her latest premieres on ABC Family this weekend, and we’re not sure whether that makes us want to laugh or cry.
