So, is it fierce enough for you? Christian Siriano of “Project Runway” fame is continuing his collaboration with Payless Shoes. If you remember, the budget shoe company sponsored Siriano’s spike studded footwear for his fashion show during New York Fashion Week back in February. His runway shoes have inspired his Fall 2009 collection for Payless which will be in stores this August and retail between $30 and $50. Egyptian hieroglyphics are a strong inspiration for the collection which will feature metallic fabrics, chain metal details, and teals and turquoise tones reminiscent of the Nile. Like the designer himself, the shoes sound a bit dramatic — but I think they are actually cute. This teal “Slither” bootie is one of several styles in the range and will retail for $49.99.
