New Trailer For Steven Soderbergh’s “The Girlfriend Experience”

Check out the new trailer for Steven Soderbergh’s latest movie, “The Girlfriend Experience.” Starring adult film star Sasha Grey as a Manhattan-based, $2,000-an-hour call girl, “The Girlfriend Experience” seeks to peek behind the curtain at what it’s really like to have sex for a living. The “girlfriend experience,” or “GFE,” as it’s known on Craigslist, is a type of escorting in which the woman offers services, as it were, more akin to what a girlfriend would offer than, say, a so-called “hooker,” whether that’s kissing, companionship, or conversation. While several reviewers who screened an unfinished version of the movie at this year’s Sundance Film Festival said the movie felt “cold,” and some questioned Soderbergh’s pick of an adult actress in the starring role, the trailer looks pretty awesome. I’m a Soderbergh fan, and while this movie may or may not accurately reflect the reality of the upper-echelon call girl experience, it sure does look pretty. [Buzzfeed]
