Chris Brown To Apologize For Assualt On “Oprah”?
Supposedly, Rihanna can’t decide whether to take Chris Brown back after he allegedly beat the crap out of her in February, so she has reportedly demanded he publicly apologize to her on “Oprah.” Rihanna has been talking to Oprah Winfrey on a regular basis since the media mogul cautioned the singer against reconciling with Chris. But a public apology really won’t help Rihanna make up her mind because either she believes he’s remorseful or not. This just sounds like a bad idea for all three parties involved. It would be stupid for Chris to publicly admit his guilt before his trial begins. Chris’ arraignment for making criminal threats and assault charges is scheduled for April 6. What lawyer would allow him to do this? Appearing on TV with Chris also isn’t a good idea for Rihanna because she’s going to be judged, especially if she does indeed take him back. As for Oprah, well, her show will definitely get a ratings boost if this happened (not that it needs one), but there’s the risk the show will morph into something more appropriate for Jerry Springer or Maury Povich. I can just imagine the audience screaming, “Ditch him,” and booing as they give a thumbs down wave. Winfrey’s camp denies that Chris and Rihanna will appear on the show, so I guess we just have to wait and see. [Starpulse.com]
