Maria Pinto, the Chicago designer who has dressed Michelle Obama on many occasions, is among seven up-and-coming designers competing to have their gowns worn onstage at this year’s Academy Awards. The winning gown, chosen by the public, will be worn by an award escort. To check out the other designers’ gowns, visit Oscar.com.
