10 Must See TV Shows in January

The new year is giving me something to look forward to. TV! Some of our faves are finally returning and a few new shows are giving us something to fill up that extra space on our DVR’s. Here’s a list of shows on our radar in January.

1. Scrubs
1/6, ABC
The show’s highly talked about move to ABC is enough of a reason for me to watch the wacky hospital comedy. Last season, J.D. had a baby but still has feelings for his co-worker Elliot.

2. Hell’s Kitchen
1/29, Fox
Gordon Ramsey is ready to get fiesty in this reality show about chefs competing for a chance to run their own restaurant.

3. American Idol
1/13, Fox
We are all probably a little tired of “American Idol.” But they are bringing in a fourth judge this season. I’m eager to see how Paula interacts with her. I smell a cat fight if Paula isn’t taking her meds.4. The United States of Tara
1/18 Showtime
This new show, written by “Juno” screenwriter Diablo Cody, deals with a woman (Tara) struggling to deal with her multiple personality disorder and raising a dysfunctional family.

5. Damages
1/7, FX
Last season, naive Ellen discovered her former boss, Patty, was trying to kill her. So Ellen decided to go back to work for Patty because revenge is oh so sweet.

6. Lost
1/21, ABC
It feels like forever since this show aired. But in the upcoming season, expect less flashbacks and flash forwards.

7. Trust Me
1/26, TNT
Eric McCormack and Tom Cavanagh team up in this show to see if egos can be checked at the door and friendships can be maintained in the workplace.

8. The Bachelor
1/5, ABC
Jason Mesnick, dissed by last year’s bachelorette, DeAnna Pappas, will be looking for not only a bride-to-be but someone who can be a mother to his 4-year-old son. We’ll be liveblogging this every Monday!

9. The L Word
1/18, Showtime
Elizabeth Berkeley (Jessie Spanno from “Saved by the Bell”) joins the cast. I’m so excited, and I just can’t hide it!

10. Greg Behrendt’s Wake Up Call
1/8, SoapNet
Greg helps tackle problems in couples’ relationships. Then at the end, the couple decides if they want to still be together.

Honorable mention:
RuPaul’s Drag Race
2/2, Logo
This show airs in February which is why I couldn’t put it in the top 10. But drag queens competing in challenges…I’m so there!
