10 Best Couples Of 2008

We witnessed some really happy couples and some that made us shake our heads this year. We put the following 10 couples in the best category because they definitely generated a buzz in pop culture.

Rachel Maddow and MSNBC: Rachel hooked up with MSNBC on a few guest appearance booty calls. But this year, they solidified their relationship when MSNBC gave Rachel her own show, “The Rachel Maddow Show.”
Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson: Although they didn’t confirm their relationship until September, everyone knew these two were more than besties. This pairing kept Lindsay relevant, even though she hasn’t starred in anything successful lately. And Sam seemed to stop Lindsay’s crotch exhibitions.
Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi: After four years of dating, Ellen and Portia tied the knot in 2008. “The love we felt from the people surrounding us, and the love we have for each other, made this the most beautiful and emotional day,” de Rossi told People. “And one that we’ll never forget.”
Carrie Bradshaw and Mr. Big: Fans of “Sex and the City” had to wait four years for Carrie and Mr. Big to tie the knot. And after a bunch of drama and miscommunication, they finally became husband and wife.
iPhone and 3G Network: Techies were extremely happy to see these two wed. 3G technology meant the iPhone would surf the internet faster and it made it possible to surf the web, download email, get directions and watch video, even while on a call.
Kim Zolciak and Big Poppa: Although no one ever saw these two together on the “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” they were nonetheless a popular search term. Hopefully, they reveal Big Poppa’s identity in season two.
Taylor Jacobson and Brad Goreski: Don’t recognize these two? Well if you watched “The Rachel Zoe Project,” you probably recognize them by just their first names. This couple embarked on drama-filled love/hate relationship from their first day together. Taylor even made Brad cry, but they made up…sort of.
Whitney Houston and Ray-J: This couple is our “WTF Couple of the Year.” We’re still shaking our heads about Whitney dating Brandy’s little brother. What’s even more troubling is that Ray-J is hitting Bobby Brown’s leftovers.
Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z: These two finally wed in April after years of speculation over whether they were indeed a couple. But we were already bored with them by then.
Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds: They became engaged in May after dating about a year and were married in Sept. We think Scarlett makes a better match for Ryan than Alanis Morissette, who he dated previously.
