Halloween Store Products Acceptable For Year-Round Use

Halloween comes but once a year, and unless you’re dressing up for your boyfriend, you probably won’t have a chance to put on your sexy nurse garter until next October. But there are a ton of things at Halloween stores that you can make use of after the holiday.

Fun Tights and Fishnets
Winter can be a bleak season, especially when you wear plain black tights to work every day. Pick up a back of striped tights or black fishnets to wear through the cold weather. Just make sure to keep the rest of your outfit simple and classy. (Note: Wearing fishnets in below-zero temperatures isn’t a good idea unless you have another pair of tights under them, unless you’re into frostbite.)

If you’re the kind of person who constantly loses their shades, or worse, breaks expensive pairs by the dozen, buy a bunch of inexpensive pairs. Then, at least you won’t feel bad when you scratch the lenses at the beach next summer.

To achieve the horizontal hippie headband look, as worn by Stephanie Pratt and Nicole Ritchie, pick up a couple flapper headbands. They also abide by fall’s feather trend. Of course, if feathers aren’t your thing, just rip them off.

Fake Glasses
Sometimes you want to look smart, and adding glasses to your ensemble should do the trick.

I wouldn’t recommend wearing most costumes for anything but dress-up. Sorry, but you would look pretty tragic if you wore this on any old day.

Fake Eyelashes
Our Leigh thinks her eyelashes are abysmally short, so she should stock up on false ones. Bring out fancy ones on special occasions like St. Patrick’s Day and New Year’s Eve.

Press-On Nails
Some of us aren’t talented enough to paint our own fingernails, which is why press-on nails are so genius. Glow-in-the-dark nailpolish is also pretty special.
