Rihanna’s got hit singles, happenin’ style, and a hot attitude. We’re not worthy, we’re not worthy! But apparently Chris Brown is. So, who is the
rapper rapper/R&B singer she’s so comfy with that he A) gets to see her hair wet, B) comments that she needs to “cover up” to stop attracting male admirers, and C) still claims they’re just friends? LOVES Although Brown refuses to admit he has love for RiRi, he has dated teen pop star Paula DeAnda who was later linked to his pal Bow Wow (what a dog!) He also dated “video music performer”/author of Confessions of a Video Vixen, Karrine Steffans. She’s had nearly ever rapper — even both members of Outkast, back-to-back.
CAREER: Discovered at his father’s gas station in Tappahannock, Virginia, Brown was signed by the legendary L.A. Reid at 15. After only two records, Brown must have quite the trophy closet to house his menagerie of awards from the likes of MTV, BET, Teen Choice, Soul Train, and Billboard. However, he seems to share the spotlight with other singers like Jordin Sparks, Bow Wow, Lil’ Mama, Ludacris, and most recently he recorded a track with Nas and The Game. The sultry rapper/singer has also had some TV cameos including a roles on The OC and The Suite Life of Zack & Cody.
FRIENDS: Brown shared the Up Close and Personal Tour with his friend and co-star from his first film, Stomp the Yard, Ne-Yo. He’s also buddies with Bow Wow and they’ve shared tracks and ladies. But really, his “best friend” is Rihanna — yeah, friend with benefits. But he at least bought her a girl’s best friend — a $100,000 diamond necklace!
LITTLE KNOWN FACTS: Chris Brown has designed a line of baseball caps with ’80’s-inspired graphics for chain retailer Lids. Clearly a lover of strong female pop singers, he hit the road with Beyoncé on the Australian leg of The Beyoncé Experience Tour. Also, he’s personally managed by the Vice President of Def Jam records, Tina Davis.
