Yes, it’s totally possible that she was on the pill and didn’t take as directed — eight out of 100 women will get pregnant each year if they don’t follow the instructions — but a survey by the Crisis Pregnancy Agency in Ireland found that first sex among adolescents was linked to low use of contraception (and high levels of regret).
