Charlton Heston died this weekend at the ripe ol’ age of 83. In addition to being a major gun nut, we were fascinated to discover he was also a civil rights protester in the ’60s. He was also once extremely dashing and handsome — we kind of love that movie Ben-Hur and, damn, didn’t he make a foxy Moses in The Ten Commandments?
