Ellen Page Kinda, Sorta Comes Out On SNL

Did Ellen Page “come out” on Saturday Night Live? In this skit, the Juno star, who’s had gossip bloggers rumor-mongering about her sexuality for months, plays a straight girl who goes to a Melissa Etheridge concert and comes home overwhelmed with pro-female lust. But instead of ending the skit with a joke, as you would expect from the sketch comedy show, instead Page’s “boyfriend” (played by Andy Samberg) hugs her and gives some snarkless speech about self-acceptance. We don’t give a hoot whether Page is straight, gay, or has an outtie bellybutton — but we are stoked she was such an awesome SNL host! [Red Lasso]
